Maintenance (30/07/2018): The grand Eagle Artillery rework

Maintenance day! Aside from the server keep-up, the Eagle Artillery is receiving some changes

1-No more Triple Damage against Golems: Was supposed to be live last update, but never made it in. I guess its because it made Golems underpowered? Then again, they have removed the triple damage to Pekkas from Teslas, so i guess they dont want more specific targeting and damaging buildings.

2- Eagle Artillery Lvl 3 now deals correct damage.

Aside from this, Replays will no longer be available once the maintenance is done, so rip those 2 replays i didnt get to record.

Happy Hog Attack Highlight!

Time for some attacks! Here are some of the attacks i did during the Happy Hog Event.
The strategy i used was:
45x Archer
30x Hog Rider
3x Heal Spell

Incredibly cheap and effective strategy. Start by either luring the CC troops and killing them, or if there are none, picking up all the buildings from the outside, including Corner Builder Huts. Afterwards, rush in with Hog Riders and drop Heal Spells when they either take alot of damage or approach a Splash Damage building, like Wizard Tower or Bomb Tower. Once everything is done, enjoy the mayhem.

I did have Lvl 4 Hog Rider, which is a pretty powerful albeit expensive troop at TH8, but with the event this becomes a 180 DE, 7000+ Elixir Powerful Strategy, which is able to 3 star most of the time.

Enjoy!

REMINDER: Happy Hogs event ends tomorrow

Happy Hogs event ends tomorrow! Make sure to get the XP and those Training Potions, and remember to queue up as many Hog Riders or Heal Spells as you can before it ends, so you can get quite a profit of DE and Elixir.

Next event: Clan Games (in 2 and a half days)

Clandoku!

Yesterday the COC twitter posted a fun game with COC characters! Have any of you played Sudoku? If so, you might like this!

"A great strategist is a great tactician! Welcome to Clandoku, Chief!

The rules are simple: work out which numbers the 9 troops represent and comment below with your answers!"

Anybody know how to solve it? I absolutely hate Sudoku, so im not gonna solve it.

COC Guides #1: Barbarian Guide

Barbarian info
The Barbarian. An icon of COC, and the 1st troop many will get to use. Its the most basic of them all, but even using something basic or easy can be used wrong.
Today ill guide you on the best ways to use the Barbarian! How to use him while attacking, farming, during war etc.

Description
"This fearless warrior relies on his bulging muscles and striking mustache to wreak havoc in enemy villages. Release a horde of Barbarians and enjoy the mayhem!"

Stats
The Barbarian is the cheapest troop in the game (elixir-wise). Only costing 25 Elixir to train at Level 1, and being the cheapest to upgrade in the lab, you would think the Barbarian is weak, but oh he isnt.
Barbarian has a good amount of HP and Damage, allowing him to absorb a bit of damage and throw it back.

The Barbarian is a ground troop, and uses a melee attack. He moves at a normal speed. Not slow, but not Sonic the Hedgehog speed either. He takes up 1 spot per troop.

Basic Stats

Preferred Target: None
Attack Type: Melee. Grounded.
Housing Space: 1
Movement Speed: 16 (Average)
Attack Speed: 1 second (Average)
Barrack LV required: 1
Training Times: 20 sec, 10 sec, 6 sec, 5 sec.

Training Cost
Level 1: 25 E
Level 2: 40 E
Level 3: 60 E
Level 4: 100 E
Level 5: 150 E
Level 6: 200 E
Level 7: 250 E
Level 8: 300 E

Usage (General)
Barbarian is great as a cheaper alternative to the Giant. Having less health but in exchange you can bring more. He is great to soak up damage for a small amount of time. He is also alright for cleaning up once you are done with an attack, but generally Archers can do a better job.

Whenever you deploy them, dont deploy them in a huge group, because Mortars and Wizard Towers can make quick work of them like that, same with all types of Bombs and the bomb tower.

They can be used to activate Traps or the Clan Castle troops as well, saving your other more important troops.

Usage (Farming)
Barbarians are great for farming thanks to their cheap cost. They are good alone, but its best you also bring some Archers to help out in cleaning, also known as the "Barcher" strategy.

Generally, Barbarians are used for tanking while Archers destroy everything. Its a cost effective strategy that is really effective against dead bases or bases with alot of loot, but not in bases where most of the loot is in Storages.

Usage (War)
There are better troops for War than Barbarians, but that doesnt mean hes useless. Barbarians are great for cleaning up leftover buildings like Builder Huts, or to activate the Clan Castle, Teslas or Traps.

They are best used when using a Ground attack. If you are doing an Aerial Attack, then Barbarians arent recommended, since you wont be activating most traps with air attacks, and other stuff will get triggered the same way with air troops.

Veredict
Barbarians are best used as mini-tanks to soak up damage when doing Ground Attacks. Their cheap cost and quick training makes them great for Farming, but a little unreliable on War. Either way, the Barbarian is a great Troop for those who want something cheap, but powerful.

Hog Heal event!

A new event started recently! Its Hog Heal! Started on the 24th of July, all Hog Riders and Heal Spells get a cost reduction, and the rewards are 3 Training Potions and 300 XP. Pretty good event for those looking to use Hog Riders but dont want to spend alot of DE, and great in general for those who like to use Heal alot (like me lol)

Here are the cost reductions for everything

Hog Rider
Level 1: 40 DE ----> 4 DE
Level 2: 45 DE ----> 5 DE
Level 3: 52 DE ----> 6 DE
Level 4: 58 DE ----> 6 DE
Level 5: 65 DE ----> 7 DE
Level 6: 90 DE ----> 9 DE
Level 7: 115 DE ----> 12 DE
Level 8: 140 DE ----> 14 DE

Healing Spell
Level 1: 15,000 E ----> 1500 E
Level 2: 16,500 E ----> 1650 E
Level 3: 18,000 E ----> 1800 E
Level 4: 19,000 E ----> 1900 E
Level 5: 21,000 E ----> 2100 E
Level 6: 23,000 E ----> 2300 E
Level 7: 25,000 E ----> 2500 E

Event lasts 5 days and ends on the 29th of July.
Tip: Try to queue up Hog Riders to obtain a profit of DE at the end of the event. You can obtain quite a lot of DE from doing this.

Have Fun!
